Messe Berlin is among the top ten trade fairs in the world in terms of annual turnover. The company benefits from two exhibition spaces (Berlin Expo Center and Berlin ExpoCenter Airport) and a multifunctional center (CityCube Berlin) that offers two new halls, each of approx. 6,000 sqm, but also spaces for conferences and events that can accommodate up to 3,000 people. The exhibition center also benefits from a 3,000 ml railway display.
The history of Messe Berlin begins in 1924, with the first edition of what we call today IFA – Internationale Funkausstellung. Then began the construction of the Radio Tower (Funkturm) and the area called “Haus der Funkindustrie”. In 1926 the first edition of “Grüne Woche” takes place, reaching in the meantime the 85th edition.
Currently, Messe Berlin annually organizes approx. 125 own or hosted events and receives in its exhibition center over 2 million international guests. The world-leading fairs also have a special role, such as ITB Berlin (tourism), FRUIT LOGISTICA (fruit and vegetable marketing), IFA Berlin (electronics and home appliances), Internationale Grüne Woche (agriculture, food and horticulture) and InnoTrans (railway industry).
